Channel 8 News Reports on Leadership Conference

About 150 area middle and high school students (grades 7 through 12) learned to become effective leaders in school and in the community from a group of future teachers at Monroe Community College and current educators at the first-ever 2016 Leadership Conference.

WROC News 8 aired a segment on the conference in its Saturday (March 19) broadcast, interviewing a Gates Chili High School student participant and giving recognition to the Future Educators Club and MCC’s Education Department for organizing the event. The half-day conference was held Saturday at MCC's Damon City Campus.

Many thanks to Aimee Shaver, field placement coordinator with the Education Department, for coordinating the conference and facilitating the media interview.
