MCC Student Interviewed About "SUNY Speaks Up!"


WXXI News and News 8 (WROC-TV) interviewed SGA Vice President Blake Moore, one of 10 MCC students who joined a statewide contingent to advocate in Albany on Tuesday, March 24, for increased funding for the SUNY system as part of the student-organized “SUNY Speaks Up!” campaign.

The MCC students gathered on Brighton Campus in the predawn hours for a bus trip to Albany, where they met with state legislators to advocate increasing funding for SUNY community colleges by $250/full-time equivalent student.. The statewide contingent included members of the SUNY Student Assembly and student leaders from SUNY’s 64 campuses.
