On July 8, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo directed flags at half-staff in honor of the victims of violence in Dallas. He also called for national unity and directed One 1 World Trade Center to be lit in red, white, and blue in his remarks on the recent shootings in Dallas, Texas and the police-involved shootings in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Falcon Heights, Minnesota. He also directed the Peace Bridge connecting the United States to Canada in Buffalo to be lit up in red, white, and blue. The Governor delivered the remarks at an unrelated event in Utica.
