Seats still available for Gala Honoring Dr. Young

Dr. Alice Holloway Young will be honored at the Rochester Children’s Scholarship Fund’s 90th Anniversary Gala on Friday, October 23rd. The Gala is chaired by Mayor Robert Duffy and Rochester City School District Superintendent Jean-Claude Brizard who are lending their names to the organization which provides financial assistance to low-income, high-achieving Rochester City School District students.

RCSF has chosen to celebrate Dr. Young at the Gala for her community leadership and life-long commitment to education.  As the first African-American principal for the Rochester City School District and a founding member of the Board of Trustees of Monroe Community College, Dr. Young serves as a role model to us all.

MCC is a Gala sponsor in support of the work of the Rochester Children’s Scholarship Fund. The proceeds from the Gala will enable RCSF to provide assistance and support to a greater number of promising students. You may learn more about RCSF and the Gala at https://www.rcsf.info/.
