Online Retirement Enrollment and Management System to begin on April 17

Over the last two years, SUNY and TIAA-CREF have been working on a new online Multi-Vendor Coordinator Service which will allow employees to enroll in and manage their retirement plans online.  MCC has been in the process of joining this effort and we are scheduled to “go live” with this service on April 17, 2015.  Prior to the go live date, there will be a quiet period.  The quiet period begins on April 8, 2015 at 4 p.m. and will end on April 17, 2015 at 8.a.m.

During the quiet period, MCC will not be able to accept any salary reduction agreements for 403(b) accounts or any enrollments into the Optional Retirement Plan.  Beginning April 17, 2015, all 403(b) salary reductions and changes and enrollments in the Optional Retirement Plan will be accomplished online through the Multi-Vendor Coordinator Service.

You may have already received a quiet period notice at your home indicating that this is occurring.  If you have any questions regarding this change and what it means for you, please contact Human Resources at extension 2106.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER:

1.      If you need to make changes to your 403(b) account after April 8, 2015, you will be able to do so through an online process beginning April 17, 2015.  You will be receiving additional information from SUNY and TIAA-CREF regarding this new “Retirement@Work” online system very soon.

2.      Employees who want to sign up for the SUNY Optional Retirement Plan after April 8, 2015 will be able to do so online beginning April 17, 2015.

3.      Human Resources and TIAA-CREF will be able to assist you during this transition process.

Thank you for your patience during this process.
