Call for Online Course Development via SUNY Learning Network (SLN)


If you are interested in offering an existing course in the SLN format, please select ‘Curriculum Database’ on the Curriculum & Program Development website to complete a proposal to develop an existing course online through SLN/ANGEL.  Proposals should be completed by October 21.

The Curriculum Office is pleased to announce the development of six new courses for delivery through the SUNY Learning Network beginning fall 2011 or spring 2012.  The following six courses are:

CRC 110 Website Design (1 credit) – Janet Lipp
CRC 111 Surfing the Internet (1 credit) – Janet Lipp
ECO 110 Personal Investing (3 credits) – Christopher Biehler, Michael Ruff
ENG 202 Modern British Literature (3 credits) – Elizabeth Johnston
ECE 150 Exploring Early Care and Education (3 credits) – Lena Shiao
PSY 270 (PSY 109) Positive Psychology (3 credits) – Susan Thompson

SLN Course Proposal is used to convert an existing course to online via the Internet through the SUNY Learning Network, ANGEL platform.  Faculty with basic computer skills and a willingness to adapt teaching to an asynchronous environment and to participate in required training will be provided a stipend.

Hybrid Course Proposal is used to convert an existing course to online via the Internet through the SUNY Learning Network, ANGEL platform.  The supplemented face-to-face instruction may not constitute more than 50% of instruction.  Faculty with online teaching experience or with basic computer skills and a willingness to adapt teaching style to an asynchronous environment will be provided training.
