Let Students Know: Peer Assistant Network is Looking for Students


Applications for the positions of Peer Mentor (FYE and Orientation) and Peer Advisors (Advisement and Graduation Services) are now available in the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development.

We are looking for friendly students who are interested in the opportunity to gain leadership experience, strengthen communication skills and develop strong self-confidence.

Peer Mentors are employed by the Brighton Campus to assist with all aspects of the New Student Orientation and the First Year Experience Program. They work throughout the year assisting students to develop interpersonal skills and to get more involved on campus. Peer Mentors will also represent the campus at college events as needed.

Peer Advisors are employed by the Advisement and Graduation Services. Areas of assignments and responsibilities include the Academic Advisement Center, Program Advisement and Registration (PAR) Programs, Placement Testing and the Front Desk in Advisement and Graduation Services.

Both are paid, one-year positions from June 2014 to May 2015.

The application deadline is Friday, March 7, 2014.
