Kodak Film Team Visits MCC

On May 1, 24 MCC Cinema and Communication students did more than just smell the flowers on campus.  In two workshops conducted by Eastman Kodak’s “Stop By, Shoot Film” team of cinematographers, the students got a chance to shoot Super 16mm film.

This was a “first” for MCC to host this Kodak workshop, which is conducted by the Kodak team all over the world.  While “digital” is the current buzzword for film and TV production, so far this year, Kodak has sold more movie film than in any year in its history.  So film is not dead and MCC students had a chance, most for the first time, to shoot motion picture film and right here on campus.
