Welcome Shelitha Williams – Director of Student Engagement at DCC


I am pleased to announce that Shelitha Williams has accepted the position of Director of Student Engagement at the Damon City Campus effective September 23, 2013.  Shelitha is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Rochester, has a Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York at Potsdam.  She has served as the Director of Housing and Residence Life through the MCC Association, Inc., for nine years.  As such, she has developed operating systems that have proven both efficient and effective, and programs which enhance the educational experience of those students living in our residence halls.   Shelitha received Rochester’s Emerging African American Leader Award in 2009 and completed Monroe Community College’s Leadership Academy in 2008.  Please join me in congratulating Shelitha as she starts her new position.
