The Chronicle of Higher Education would like to know what current members of faculty and staff at colleges and universities were doing 40 years ago during the "summer of love." Were you in the hippie moment or oblivious to it? Had you turned on, tuned in and dropped out; working a lousy job; or studying like mad during a fellowship? Were you fighting in Vietnam, in the States protesting the war, or just reading the papers and trying to make sense of it all?
Whatever you were doing, The Chronicle is looking for your recollections and reflections in 200 words or less. Selected responses will appear in a special section of the paper this summer. If you would like to participate, send your 200 words with "summer of love" in the subject line to <mailto:publicaffairs@monroecc.edu> by Thursday, June 7. If you have photos of yourself from then and now, feel free to attach them in jpeg format. Be sure to include your name, title and summer contact information.
