The Monroe Community College Diversity Council and members of the Direction Five: Enhancing our Physical Environment committee are offering the college community two great reasons to celebrate diversity!
Please join us for the unveiling and dedication of “Maya,” an inspiring, original work of art created by local artist Cheryl Olney on Tuesday, September 29 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm at Java’s Coffee Bar (first floor, Peter A. Spina Administration Building). “Maya” was selected by the Diversity Council, and made possible by a strategic planning grant, to promote diversity and inclusiveness throughout MCC and highlight the success of the Alice Holloway Young, Ed.D. Power of Diversity Series.
The reception will also provide an opportunity to wish our special guest, Board Chair Emerita Alice Holloway Young, Ed.D., a happy 86th birthday!
We hope to see you on Sept. 29th at Java’s!
