AAWCC Invites You to "Make Strides Against Breast Cancer"

If it hasn't already, breast cancer will likely touch you or someone you know. The disease will strike more than 200,000 times this year and claim more than 40,000 lives. Join Making Strides and help make breast cancer a thing of the past. Making Strides is a non-competitive walk designed to raise awareness, foster camaraderie, and raise funds for breast cancer research, patient services, education, and advocacy.

Members of the Monroe Community College Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) will participate in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" on Sunday, October 17, 2004 at Frontier Field.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:30 a.m.  We invite all participants from MCC to meet us at registration (look for the MCC signs) to walk together as representatives of  Monroe Community College.

If you are interested in walking with "Team MCC" or making a financial contribution, please contact AAWCC's Kelley Bennett, Counseling and Advising, <<kbennett@monroecc.edu>> or call extension 2406.  For more information on the walk please go to the following link: <<www.cancer.org>> and go to the Making Strides Against Cancer link.  We hope to see you there!
