Dr. Ann Topping, DCC Dean of Students, has been appointed At-Large Director for the National Council on Student Development (NCSD). The NCSD is an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and the only organization solely dedicated to serving the needs of student development professionals in the community college. NCSD is the nation's primary voice for sharing knowledge, expertise, professional development and student advocacy for community college student development professionals.
At-Large Directors provide advice to the Executive Board on student development issues, strategic planning initiatives and information to be included in Council publications. At-Large Directors also develop and maintain contacts with AACC and other groups at the national level who work with community college student issues and needs and are associated with the policy community.
Dr. Topping will continue to serve as Vice President of the SUNY Council of Chief Student Affairs Officers for Community Colleges in 2009-2010.
