On Tuesday, April 26, MCC President Anne M. Kress welcomed New York State Assemblyman Sean T. Hanna (District 130) to the Brighton Campus for a tour and conversation about MCC initiatives and higher education.
Dr. Michael McDonough, provost and vice president for academic services, and Sherry Tshibangu, associate professor of business, joined President Kress and Assemblyman Hanna for lunch to discuss MCC’s Community Center for Teaching Excellence and our entrepreneurship education efforts, respectively. Interim Chair of Nursing Cheryl Mahoney and Department Secretary Jenny Peterson led a tour of the Wolk Center for Excellence in Nursing. President Kress, Assemblyman Hanna, Ali Touhey, the Assemblyman's chief of staff, and Cynthia Cooper, assistant to the president for college, community and government relations, also stopped by the MCC greenhouse and the nursing classroom of Assistant Professor Kim Aquila, RN, MS.
