Faculty Members Recognized for Assessment Projects


Several faculty leaders of assessment projects and their respective departments were recognized for their effort and achievement at the Annual Assessment Awards event on Friday, November 11th.  Provost and Academic Services Vice President Michael McDonough and Dean of Curriculum Charlotte Downing presented the 2010-11 winners of two assessment awards offered by Academic Services:

2010-11 Most Notable Contribution to an Assessment Project by a Program or Department faculty:
·         (tie) The Human Services Department, and The Fire Protection Program

2010-11 Most Notable Contribution to an Assessment Project by a Faculty Assessment Leader:
·         Renee Rigoni, Pat Kuby, and Janet Zinck, the Faculty Steering Committee of the Distance Learning Assessment Initiative

Also recognized for leading the successful completion of their respective assessment projects:
·         Margaret Murphy, for leading the assessment of Basic Communication – Writing

·         Ed Grissing, for leading the evaluation of the A.S. program in Engineering Science

·         Todd Korol, for leading the evaluation of the A.S. programs in Business Administration and International Business

·         Joan Mullaney, for leading the evaluation of the A.S., A.A.S., and certificate programs in Human Services

Recognized for leading the successful completion of a first-time or new assessment project:
·         Marc Connolly, for leading the first-time evaluation of the Fire Protection A.A.S. program

·         Christine Forde, for leading the first-time evaluation of the Information Technology A.A.S. program

·         Marcia Fugate, for leading the first-time comprehensive evaluation of services offered by the Transitional Studies Department

·         Renee Rigoni, for leading the Distance Learning Assessment Initiative
