The commemoration will begin with an opening ceremony at 9:30 am in the Flynn Campus Center Atrium, followed by a candle lighting, calling of the names and photographic essay display from 10 am to 2 pm. Local Holocaust Survivors will give their personal testimonies at the following times in the Forum (3-130):

Yom HaShoah is also known as Holocaust Remembrance Day. "Shoah," which means catastrophe or utter destruction in Hebrew, refers to the atrocities that were committed against the Jewish people during World War II. This is a memorial day for the 6 million people who died in the Shoah.

This commemoration is hosted by the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project.
