Putting the spotlight on Hispanic Employees at MCC Series - Week Three

Did you know:

“Hispanic” and “Latino” mean different things.  The label “Hispanic” refers to people who speak Spanish and/or are descended from Spanish-speaking populations. This is contrasted by “Latino” (or Latina or Latinx), which refers to people who are from or descended from people from Latin America.

According to the Minority Veterans Report by the Department of Veterans Affairs (published in March 2017), over 1.2 million vets in the US are of Hispanic or Latino descent. However, the military sacrifice and service of Hispanic Americans stretch back to the Revolutionary War. Historically, Hispanic solders have fought in every singe war, both on and off American Soil.
