Quality Matters: Quality Assurance in Online Courses

Educational Technology Services will host HYPERLINK "https://www.magnapubs.com/calendar/128.html" Quality Matters: Quality Assurance in Online Courses on Tuesday, March 20 from 1:00-2:30pm in the Board Lounge.

Higher Education facilities have to look closely at the issue of how they can ensure quality in their online course offerings -- especially if sharing of resources and course materials is a priority. Quality Matters (QM), a peer-based approach to quality assurance in online education, recently completed a highly successful 3-year FIPSE project to develop a voluntary inter-institutional process for recognizing quality online courses. The presenter for this session will be Mary Wells, QM's director of development, who will address "Quality Assurance in Online Courses."

Participants will gain an understanding of the challenges surrounding quality assurance in online courses, review the set of tools and rubrics used by QM, and have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues of concern to their schools.

If you are interested in participating in this online seminar, please contact Melissa Burley at ext. 3440 or HYPERLINK "mailto:mburley@monroecc.edu".
