The Holy Cow

Come join us in the Multicultural Center today, March 6, 12-1 pm to learn about the Hindu faith! Hinduism is an ancient religion that originated in India; however, it is practiced in many countries around the globe. Many symbols of the Hindu faith have become identifiable in the U.S. through the popularization of yoga. Symbols such as OM, and Sanksrit words such as Namaste, as well as some deities such as Krishna and Ganesha are showing up on many U.S. products.  A local Hindu priest, Sanjay Mathur, who is the former President of the Hindu Temple of Rochester will provide participants with a brief introduction to the faith and share the stories behind some of the Hindu gods that have become fashionable in the U.S.
