DCC Parking

The city-owned Mortimer Street parking garage closed for business over the holidays. Other parking options when visiting the Damon City Campus include the St. Joseph's, Midtown and East End garages.

Enrollment growth, the number of parking transfers from Mortimer Street, and the recent bitter cold have created a parking challenge at St. Joseph’s. On Tuesday, we received reports that students were being turned away because the garage was full. We worked with the St. Joseph’s management to take measures to ensure that those with parking permits are given first priority. Additionally, I requested St. Joseph’s to add parking spaces for people with handicapped permits to accommodate those persons in need.

We have ceased offering St Joseph parking permits to students and are now encouraging them to use the parking program at the East End Garage. We are also developing an up-to-date list of parking options that are immediately adjacent to DCC to assist students and staff who have meetings on campus. I encourage College staff to use Midtown Parking facilities. Midtown parking is indoors and DCC can be reached via the Skyway.
