The Experience of Grief Seminar


The ETS Staff Development Committee is sponsoring a seminar entitled The Experience of Grief on Friday, January 10 from 1:30-3:00 in Room 3-172. This seminar will look at the journey of grief from various perspectives. It will also include grief in the workplace. It will take a broad perspective of loss so that it might apply to a variety of experiences. The emphasis will be on understanding grief, normalizing it, as well as creative ways of coping.

Presenter Deborah Sigrist teaches Death and Dying at the Damon City Campus. She is a registered nurse with Genesee Region Home Care, having worked on the Hospice Unit for 14 years. She has facilitated a variety of Bereavement Support Groups for GRHC and regularly speaks throughout the community on the topics of death, dying and bereavement. She is the author of Journey's End, A Guide to Understanding the Dying Process.
