DCC's Student Veterans Club CAN DO Drive Needs Your Help!

The Blue Star Mothers of America (BSM), Inc., New York Chapter #1, are Moms of the military. BSM are non-political, non-profit and non-sectarian, whose chapter was started by five Mothers in 2004. Their goal is to care for our deployed soldiers with boxes full of a touch of home, cards and letters. If they receive a special request from our troops, they attempt to fill it. New York # 1 is full of Mothers who are doing their best to make a difference while their children are deployed.

The community food cupboard operated by BSM is running low on canned food goods, and the DCC’s Student Veterans Club would like to assist them. To do so, we need your help.  We will be collecting all types of canned food items, such as soup, stew, fruit, and tomato sauce, to name a few. Our CAN DO Drive will occur from Monday, February 23, until Monday, April 27. Boxes will be placed at the security stations on the 4th and 5th floors, in Student Services on the 5th floor, and outside of Professor Stewart’s office (room 4-234).  Please consider contributing a can of food during our drive. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
