Professor Nyerges was recently listed as a featured guest artist and soloist with the RPO and guest star vocalist Denzal Sinclaire on March 20 & 21 of this year.
Select MCC students from our instrumental ensembles have once again been invited to perform at Fairport Canal Days the first weekend of June - time/day TBA.
MCC students will also be featured at the Xerox Rochester International Jazzfest on the Gibbs Street stage Sunday June 21st at 3:45.
Professor Nyerges will perform in the tent with the NEJO (New Energy Jazz Orchestra) on Tuesday June 23 at 6 PM. The band has 2 CD's out and is comprised of the top performers and educators in the area.
Our big end-of-year MCC Instrumental concert is coming on Wednesday May 6 at 7:30 PM in the MCC Theater (free admission) and will host several guest artists with the MCC small group and Jazz Ensemble (big band). They are Nick Finzer from NYC on trombone/graduate of Julliard, Clay Jenkins- Eastman Jazz faculty and trumpeter, Dave Detweiler on tenor & Alto saxophone, Eastman DMA student, and Chris Teal on drums and Danny Ziemann on bass.
