The Summer Optics Sizzler camp began earlier this week with Greece Olympia school participating for the first time since the camp’s inception four years ago.
13WHAM News, News10 NBC and YNN Rochester reported on the camp, interviewing high school students about what they are learning and why they chose to take part in the program. They also interviewed high school teachers and optics professionals about the importance of the camp and the job outlook in the optics field over the next decade.
MCC is co-sponsoring the camp with the Rochester Regional Photonics Cluster, with 17 businesses donating staff, equipment and funds to make this opportunity possible for students.
