At the TCC: A Vision of Students Today

The Teaching & Creativity Center invites you to join a conversation with fellow faculty members about a subject that engrosses all of us: our students. The conversation, part of the TCC’s yearlong “Knowing Our Students” theme, will revolve around the issues raised by a compelling short video called A Vision of Students Today. The video dramatically illustrates the growing gulf between traditional teaching methods and students who are living in an ever more wired and demanding world.

The video, which is less than five minutes long, will be shown during each of the two conversations as a way to spark discussion. If you would like to look at the video in advance, follow this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGCJ46vyR9o

Two separate conversations will be held:
Wed., Sept. 30, 12 - 12:50 p.m., Room 12-111 (Facilitated by Gary Egan of the Math Dept.)
Thurs., Oct. 1, 3:30 - 4:20 p.m.  Room 11-313 (Facilitated by Renee Rigoni of the Business Administration and Economics Dept.)
