MCC Wins Bid to Host 2005 SUNY TYESA Engineering Competition

MCC's bid to host the 2005 SUNY Two Year Engineering Science Association (TYESA) Engineering Competition on Friday, April 29th, 2005 was selected by SUNY TYESA at their annual meeting on October 29th.  This year's competition will require teams to design and build an autonomous robot that is capable of delivering ping-pong balls into 4 corner pockets located on an 8' X 8' plywood track.

MCC is the reigning SUNY TYESA champion but will face stiff competition because Tidewater Community College from Virginia Beach, the current American Society of Engineering Educator (ASEE) national design champions, will be competing at MCC.  Special thanks go to Jean Cray, Frank Rinehart, Doug Brown, and Shirley Batistta-Provost for preparing the winning bid proposal.
