Several members of the Sustainability Steering Committee, as well as other faculty, staff and students at MCC, participated in Curb Your Car Week, May 15 – 21. The event was sponsored by ColorBrightonGreen.org and encouraged individuals to find alternatives to driving for a week, including carpooling, using public transportation, combining trips, walking or biking.
Monroe Community College produced the largest school or employer savings of 1,162miles or 861 lbs of CO2. Go to ColorBrightonGreen.org to see full results. Great job! Check back later to the ColorBrightonGreen.org website for information on the Fall Curb Your Car Week in October 2011.
