Support Staff Professional Development Event a Success


The Support Staff Professional Development Event was held on Thursday, June 17th with over 70 support staff in attendance.  The event focusing on customer service and was enjoyed by all in attendance.  We would like to thank each of our presenters for making this event such a success.

Donna Burke, Assistant to the Vice President, Academic Services; Peggy Harvey-Lee, Director, Counseling and Advising; Tom Pollizi, Shipping and Receiving specialist, CSEA Chapter President; and Bill Skehan, Courier Extraordinaire, Public Safety gave a great panel discussion and information about Quality Customer Service.

Jeff Bartkovich, Vice President, Education Technology Services, presented a look at the history of the college and gave some great trivia facts.

Christina Izzo, Counselor, Counseling and Advising Center, gave us great information regarding the importance of having a positive attitude.

A special thank you go to Sue Smith, Jodee Biller and Maria Karras for their planning and facilitation of the day’s events. 

The Support Staff Professional Development Committee comprises Jodee Biller, Controller’s Office; Cynthia Clark-Inman, Human Resources; Maria Karras, Counseling and Advising; Dawn Quatro, Student Services; Sue Smith, Academic Services; Maryjo Toepfer, Health Professions; and Carol Wilkinson, Educational Technology Services.  The Committee is supported by the Human Resources Office.
