Office of Admissions Virtual Recruitment Events

The Office of Admissions is performing virtual recruitment & yield events over ZOOM meeting & webinar platforms. Many of our events are in partnership with the Financial Aid Office, with F.A.O. staff participating online to answer Q&A about PELL, TAP, Excelsior, scholarships, and next steps. This week's events are as follows:

Webinar: Virtual "Next Steps" Event for all Rochester Charter Schools - Tuesday, June 2 at 3:00 p.m. hosted by Tracey Britton & Denee Martin & Melissa Santiago

Webinar: Waterloo High School Webinar series - JUNIOR presentation on Wednesday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. hosted by Davon Jackson. Davon will discuss the different/unique aspects of admission from a 2-year school. Discussion will focus on the college admissions process, SAT/ACT (should you take them?),the right "fit" college for you, admissions during the COVID19 pandemic, and Q&A.

Webinar: "Q & A with MCC Admissions & Financial Aid Counselors" for Brighton High School - Thursday, June 4 at 3:00 p.m. hosted by Meryll Pentz & Mike Bates

Webinar: "Greece Central School District Next Steps for MCC" - Thursday, June 4 at 3:00 p.m. hosted by Julie Slate & Dana Smith & Dawn Hurd

ZOOM meetings: Instant Admission/Next Steps for the following RCSD schools, hosted by Yolonda Steward:

  • Vanguard Collegiate HS, Tuesday, June 2 at 3pm
  • Monroe HS, Wednesday, June 3 at 2pm
  • School of the Arts, Thursday, June 4 at 2pm
  • East HS, Friday, June 5 at 2pm

Webinar: Virtual "Q & A with Admissions, Advisement and Transfer Services, & Financial Aid Counselors" for Rush-Henrietta HS, Eastridge HS, East Rochester HS on Friday, June 5 at 2:30 p.m. hosted by Demetrius Rhodes, Sally Dingee, & F.A.O. (TBD)

Last week, Admissions also hosted webinars for both high school & adult students.

Webinar: Virtual "Q & A with Admissions Counselors & Financial Aid Counselors" for Webster Thomas HS on Wednesday, May 27 at 3:00 p.m. hosted by Meryll Pentz & Mike Bates. Fielded questions from Webster Thomas HS juniors & seniors about academics, application process, & Next Steps.

Webinar: Gates-Chili High School Virtual "Next Steps" Event for seniors - Thursday, May 28th at 10:30 a.m. hosted by Denee Martin

Webinar: for ADULT students on Thursday, May 28th at 11:00 am, presented by Tracey Britton & Yolonda Steward. That event had nearly 100 participants!
