High Impact Practices Summer Institute for Full-Time and Adjunct Faculty

Thinking about implementing a high impact practice into your course? Wishing you had support from faculty colleagues who have already implemented a high impact practice?  If you answered “yes” to these questions, please consider applying for the 2016 Summer Institute: Growing a High Impact Culture through Course Redesign, sponsored by Title III: Building a Culture of Engagement and Success and the Teaching and Creativity Center.  Participants in this summer’s institute will focus on one of the following high impact practices:

*       collaborative learning
*       service learning
*       learning communities

The Institute, hosted on MCC’s Brighton Campus during July 25th-28th, 2016, is a paid professional development opportunity open to full-time and adjunct faculty from all departments. The four-day institute will utilize integrative course design techniques to support instructors as they redesign one of their Fall 2016 courses to include a high impact practice.  The Institute will feature a mix of workshops, small group discussions, guided individual worktime, and one-on-one coaching sessions.

Participants will receive a $1000 stipend for attending all 4 days of the institute.  Applications will be available on the TCC website at https://web.monroecc.edu/tcc/ <https://web.monroecc.edu/tcc/> .  The application deadline is Tuesday, April 5.
