Who is Teaching Your Classes?

You are Invited to Find Out

Adjunct faculty now teach a major and increasing proportion of classes at MCC. Adjunct faculty have the same qualifications as full time faculty but they are paid much less, receive few or no benefits and work semester to semester with no job security. Many are forced to work at several colleges or hold other jobs just to make a bare minimum living. That means they are often less available to students outside of class.

Find out more about how use of adjunct faculty affects students, full time faculty, adjuncts themselves and the future of higher education. Come to a free film, ConJob: Stories of Adjunct and Contingent Labor. Several short features will also be included. The video presentation will be approximately 1 hour, followed by discussion including questions and answers. Beverages and snacks will be provided.

Downtown Campus (Rm. 352) October 22nd 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Brighton Campus (Rm. 11-306) October 23rd at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

This presentation is a part of Campus Equity Week, sponsored by the Coalition of Contingent Academic Labor (COCAL) and the MCC Faculty Association.
