Free Information Session on Small Unmanned Aerial Systems

As of August 2016, FAA pilot certification is required of anyone operating a drone for business purposes. Our 12-hour Introduction to Small Unmanned Aerial Systems course instructs both hobbyists and professionals on how to fly drones safely and legally, prepare for the FAA certification test, and access new opportunities.

MCC Corporate College is now offering a 6-hour Remote Pilot Knowledge Test Prep course to prepare participants for the mandated certification test. The actual test will be given separately at an authorized FAA Knowledge Testing Center.

On Tuesday, January 31, MCC Corporate College will hold a free information session, from 6pm-7pm, to help you learn more about small unmanned aerial systems. This event will be held at MCC Corporate College: 1057 E. Henrietta Rd., Suite 100, Rochester, NY 14623 (located directly across the street from MCC’s Brighton Campus).

This information session will help answer any questions regarding requirements for flying small unmanned aerial systems, as well as details around our Introduction to Small Unmanned Aerial Systems course, Remote Pilot Knowledge Test Prep Course, and sUAS for Public Safety Agencies course, all of which are slated to begin February 2017.

Those interested in attending the information session on Tuesday, January 31, are encouraged to RSVP at: <www.workforceforward.com/sUASinfo>.
