The Monroe Community College Foundation will present individual Salute to Excellence awards to MCC President R. Thomas Flynn and trustees of the Louis S. and Molly B. Wolk Foundation at the 18th annual Salute to Excellence dinner, the evening of Wednesday Dec. 12 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Specially-priced tickets ($75 per person) for this exciting, historic event are available for MCC faculty, staff and students. (Tickets for the general public are $100 per person.)

The Salute to Excellence award recognizes philanthropists, as well as business and community leaders, who have contributed to our community and to success of MCC. Past recipients include Anne Mulcahy, John L. DiMarco, Bausch & Lomb and Eastman Kodak Company. Funds raised at this annual event support student scholarships, faculty grants and program innovation at MCC.

Highlights of the program include the induction of four MCC alumni into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame. CNN Special Investigations Correspondent Soledad O’Brien is the keynote speaker.

An honored Rochester tradition since 1989, the Salute to Excellence award (pictured below) is a Steuben crystal star, in the shape of the MCC Foundation’s logo.
