Starting Wednesday, April 6th faculty/staff users will receive automatic scheduled updates to two pieces of MCC software – Microsoft Configuration Manager and ImageNow.
When each of the updates begin, users will see a balloon-style pop-up notification in their System Tray (by the clock) indicating that a piece of required software is scheduled to run in 5 minutes. If the balloon is clicked, the user will be presented with a brief bit of verbiage indicating the ETS is installing the Configuration Manager or ImageNow update on their computer, and to contact the Call Center with questions. There will be a button to run the installation now, otherwise after the 5 minute countdown is complete the software will install automatically.
The installation of each update takes only a few seconds, and will run in the background with no interruption to the user. No reboot is required afterwards, so the impact will be minimal.
