RBJ Promotes Program Offered Through MCC Corporate College

The Sept. 23 (Friday) edition of the Rochester Business Journal contained an article about the Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Program offered through MCC Corporate College. Jim Gertner, director of projects and operations at the Corporate College, discussed the program’s goal and importance in terms of providing an opportunity for local crafters and artists of all skill levels, particularly entrepreneurs in low-income communities, to hone their business and e-commerce skills. The article acknowledged a gift from Reenie and Stan Feingold of Brighton to the MCC Foundation to bring the program to MCC.

Rachael Gootnick, who teaches the course at MCC, was also interviewed. She described the curriculum and pointed out that lessons on photography and product pricing generate high interest from program participants.
