PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND PLEASE JOIN US! Educational Technology Services invites MCC Faculty, Staff and Administration to the following Brown Bag Lunch Sessions in January. Sessions take place during COLLEGE HOUR (12-1pm) in ROOM 11-109 unless otherwise noted. These sessions discuss a variety of technology topics. No registration is required – just show up!

FRIDAY, JANUARY 23
LIBRARY DATABASES
NOTE: This session takes place in the Library Instruction Center - 4th Floor Library, Room 2-423

Library databases are collections of electronic information organized in a logical manner. The Libraries at MCC offer all types of databases from the general to the specific and from index citations to the full-text of thousands of periodical articles. MCC cooperates with statewide and regional consortia, such as SUNYConnect, the New York State Library, and the Rochester Regional Library Council, to bring many of these valuable research tools to our students and faculty. Attend this Brown Bag session to learn how you and your students can access and use these databases from on or off campus. Facilitated by Pam Czaja and Alice Harrington, ETS Libraries.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28
NOTES UPDATE

Attention all SLN and CourseSpace instructors – Notes 6 is here! Throughout the spring semester, we will upgrade your Notes client software to version 6, which provides added capability and stability. If you haven’t upgraded yet, plan on attending one of the scheduled Brown Bag Lunch Sessions to receive your copy of the software and view a demonstration of the installation and an overview of the new features. Facilitated by Randy Rezabek, ETS Instructional Technologies.

Additional NOTES UPDATE Brown Bag sessions will be held on February 11, February 23, March 12, and March 24, 2004.
