Save a Life!

People die, everyday, from narcotic overdoses. While some of them are due to drug abuse, many others occur due to taking prescription meds incorrectly, or when a child mistakes a pill for candy.

Narcan kits save thousands of lives every year. For those of you unfamiliar with Narcan, it is a drug administered via a nasal spray to treat a narcotic overdose. In the event of an overdose, the sooner this drug can be administered, the greater someone's chances of survival. You have an opportunity to save a life!

WMCC is hosting a virtual Narcan training event, via Zoom, Monday, March 29, at 12 p.m. (noon)

Participants must register in advance at

https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/5767461/SpecialMar292021

This event is open to the entire MCC community, but it is limited to 50 participants, so register today to get your spot!

Following the training, registered participants will be able to pick up their free Narcan kits, Tuesday, March 30, 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Parking Lot A, on MCC's Brighton campus. When picking up your kit, please help protect our volunteers by wearing a mask. (Participants unable to pick up their free kits Tuesday, please contact Tamara Hillabush Walker at: twalker@monroecc.edu.)

Once you've registered (at the link above), use the Zoom link below to join the Monday training session.
