William Drumright, Assistant Professor of History, has published an article in the current edition (Sept. 9-15) of the City Newspaper. In his commentary on the late Senator Ted Kennedy, Drumright argues that Kennedy’s liberalism reflected the idea that the federal government can and should be a force for good. Moreover, in the current healthcare debate, President Obama would do well to draw upon Kennedy's main legislative legacy: his staunch commitment to economic and social justice.
