Volunteers Needed! Join TDC and Sen. Robach on National Voter Registration Day

MCC is committed to strengthening our community by getting voters registered on National Voter Registration Day. The Democracy Commitment along with Senator Joseph E. Robach, New York State Senator, and volunteers from the MCC Community will canvas the halls, courtyards, food courts, and classroom registering everyone to vote.

It’s not just important, but it’s also rewarding and you will be making a difference! On September 24th, come out to the Brighton Campus near the brick wall in front of the Flynn Campus Center Atrium at 11:00 a.m. to rally and canvas MCC.  Why vote in 2013, you may ask? 1,500 — That’s how many political races and ballot initiatives will be decided this Election Day. Make your vote count!

You can also browse through more National Voter Registration Day events across the country at www.NationalVoterRegistrationDay.org. Make sure you RSVP by Monday, September 23, to Prof. Verdis Robinson, TDC Campus Coordinator, "mailto:vrobinson@monroecc.edu", and invite a friend!

If volunteering isn’t your thing, no big deal. Just don’t miss out on the most important part of National Voter Registration Day– take 30 seconds to make sure you’re registered to vote at your current address.  Also, visit MCC’s featured event on "https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=449927268455711&set=a.278607635587676.62277.272746056173834&type=1&relevant_count=1" facebook!  We hope to see you there!
