Anne Hughes Joins the Staff of the Career Center


As of September 19, 2005, Anne C. Hughes, joined the staff of the MCC Career Center as a Career Counselor.  Since 1997, Anne had been a Counselor in the Counseling and Advising Center where providing career counseling was one of her responsibilities including assessment, interpretation, goal setting and plan implementation.  She is also proficient in administering and interpreting the Strong Interest Inventory, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Career Occupational Preference System (COPS).  Anne is a Nationally Certified Counselor of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), a Master Career Counselor of the National Career Development Association and is also a Distance Credentialed Counselor under NBCC.

Anne has written numerous articles, designed courses and programs and has given presentations both regionally and nationally, most recently to the SUNY Career Development Organization on the topic Teaching Career Development On-line: The Good, the Better and the Best.  She also developed and coordinates the WINS program which was recognized by the League for Innovation in the Community College in 2004 with its Innovation of the Year award.
