Vacancy for MCC Representative to the SUNY FCCC

M. Thomas Cooper, Professor of Visual and Performing Arts, has served as MCC's representative to the SUNY Faculty Council on Community Colleges (FCCC) for many years.  He plans to retire from the position when his current term expires on August 31, 2004. It is vital to MCC's interests that we continue to have an active and able representative on the FCCC. The NEG Committee will be seeking candidates to fill this position and the position of alternate representative from among the voting membership of the Faculty Senate. Attached is a memorandum from Tom Cooper which provides information about the FCCC and the role of MCC's representative. We hope that members of the MCC community will consider this opportunity carefully.

A formal call for nominations will be issued by the NEG Committee later this month, and an election will be held in May. Further details will be available in upcoming issues of the Tribune.
