Emergency Chilled Water System Shutdown Repair - Downtown Campus

On Saturday April 2, 2022 Facilities will be shutting down our chilled water system to allow contractors to perform an urgent repair to a 24” inch pipe on the 6th floor.  Work will begin at 5 am and we will be monitoring our systems during the shutdown.  We are working together with our Facilities team, Technology Services Operations, Public Safety, Kodak and Carestream to minimize the impact for each entity.  Our Engineering team will work to keep the campus cooled as best as possible the night before—Friday, April 1st.  Please note once the cooling system is down there may be parts of the campus that will be warmer than normal.  Facilities will be coordinating with our faculty teaching on Saturday to ensure we meet the needs of our students during the shutdown.

Stationary engineers will be on campus during the shutdown and will inspect the campus at the conclusion of the repair to ensure that all required equipment has re-started properly.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Toni Custodio at 585-685-6106 or email acustodio@monroecc.edu.
