The Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration begins on September 15 and ends on October 15.
Why does it start on September 15? September 15 is significant because it marks the anniversary of independence of five Central American countries from Spain. Those countries are: El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico’s anniversary is September 16 and Chile's is September 18. Columbus Day falls within this period; please note that in Latin America there is no Columbus Day, instead is El Día de la Raza.
Please join us tomorrow in the celebration of Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month. Please see flyer for more information of this event.
