Health Services would like to inform the college community of the student NYS health requirement for meningitis. All students regardless of age must submit proof of vaccination or sign a waiver form declining the vaccination.
Please encourage students to complete this new requirement. Vaccinations are available through the Monroe County Health Department and through primary care physicians. Waiver forms are available on the Health Services website www.monroecc.edu/go/health, through Damon City Campus Student Services, and the Counseling and Advisement Center,
Students who do not complete the requirement for meningitis will be withdrawn from classes per NYS law, will not receive course credit, and can lose financial aid. Please refer students with questions or concerns directly to the Health Services Department , Buiding 3, Room 165. We offer student health education information brochures which describe the symptoms and risks of the illness.
