Global Education Professional Development Opportunities

We would like to bring to your attention two excellent opportunities for professional development offered by our office of Global Education and International Services.

The first is a daylong workshop, The 21st Century Global Citizen. This full day professional development opportunity will explore various ways to infuse global education into current curriculum.  The workshop will feature faculty from Cornell, Hobart & William Smith, as well as MCC.  It is sure to be a practical workshop with many inspiring ideas.  The workshop is on Monday, June 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM in Monroe B.  RSVP to Gale Lynch, Director, Global Education and International Services (<mailto:glynch6@monroecc.edu> )  or via this RSVP link: <https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GlobalCitizen-June15> .

The second opportunity we’d like to encourage you to pursue is working with Gale in the Global Education office to apply for one of the many Fulbright grants available to community college faculty.  There are over are 800 teaching and/or research grants in many different disciplines, time frames and countries, and Gale is committed to helping faculty submit competitive applications.  Let’s make MCC one of the highest receiving community colleges of Fulbright grants!
