ETS Brown Bag Lunch Sessions for Apriil

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND PLEASE JOIN US!
Educational Technology Services invites MCC Faculty, Staff and Administration to the following Brown Bag Lunch Sessions in April. These sessions discuss a variety of technology topics. No registration is required – just show up!

TUESDAY, APRIL 6
PDF, PDQ FOR YOU
ROOM 3-150, FACULTY INNOVATION CENTER

Portable Document Format (PDF) from Adobe has become the standard for the reliable distribution and exchange of electronic documents. PDF is a universal file format that preserves the fonts, images, graphics, and layout of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Adobe® PDF files are compact and complete, and can be shared, viewed, and printed by anyone with free Adobe Reader® software. At this session you will learn how to create PDF files from MS Word documents, Power Point presentations, spread sheets, Web pages, and anything you can print, using a free and easy to use tool that you can download from the Web and install on your computer.

Do you want to quickly convert paper documents to PDF files, without the help of an imaging specialist? You will also be introduced to a device in the Faculty Innovation Center that will take you from a small stack of paper to a compact digital file, with time left over to grab lunch.

Facilitated by Carol Burritt, ETS Computing.
