Career Counselor at Damon City Campus

Please join me in welcoming Mr. Ivan Matthew as a Career Counselor in Student Services at the Damon City Campus.  Mr. Matthew was most recently employed full-time as a Program Manager at the Catholic Family Center where he managed three different programs since 1998.  He has excellent knowledge of community resources along with personal and career counseling experience.   While being employed full-time for the Catholic Family Center, Mr. Matthew also worked part-time in three other positions.  He has been an adjunct professor in the Human Services Department at Damon City Campus for Monroe Community College since 2002; he worked part-time since 2003 for Monroe County Probation Youth and Family Partnership; and since 1992, he worked part-time as a Youth and Family Youth Development Specialist at the Hillside Children’s Center.  His experience advising students on career, professional and academic related issues combined with his counseling skills to diagnose students’ needs and evaluate students’ progress will greatly benefit the Damon City Campus Student Services division.   Mr. Matthew earned his M.S.W. from SUNY College at Buffalo, his B.S. at SUNY College at Oneonta, and his A.S. in Liberal Arts from Monroe Community College.
