Ann Kuhn, Technical Project Assistant for the SUNY TEAM TAACCCT grant in the Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services (EDIWS) division, completed the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management degree program at Roberts Wesleyan College in November, 2014.  This challenging and rewarding program integrated critical leadership skills through courses in project management, strategic planning, budgeting and financial planning.  The program focuses on real-world business issues and objectives, and utilizes the student’s workplace for strategic research purposes and provides assistance for career advancement while continuing to work.

Christa Parr, Marketing Operations Coordinator for the SUNY TEAM TAACCCT grant, completed the Master of Science in Strategic Marketing degree program at Roberts Wesleyan College in January. The rigorous program integrated a strategic perspective, strong theoretical foundation, global focus, and current technology trends with state-of-the-art practices in traditional marketing, new media, and analytics. The curriculum included particular focus on marketing strategy, consumer behavior, brand management, message strategy, internet marketing, and metrics and assessment.

Christa Parr, has also been selected as a member of the monroe200, an initiative spearheaded by County Executive Maggie Brooks. Christa elected to join the Jobs & Economic Development group within the monroe200 and recently participated in a jobs and economic development focus group hosted by County Executive Brooks, which featured discussion led by Mark Peterson, President and CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise. The monroe200 is comprised of over 200 local millennial-aged individuals, and is a first-of-its-kind  effort to engage the millennial generation in shaping the community’s future. County Executive Brooks announced the group in her 2014 State of the County address, more meetings are planned for the future, and she will use the information gathered to produce a public report to help guide local policymaking.

Please join the SUNY TEAM Project Staff in congratulating Ann and Christa on their recent achievements and accolades!
