Quent Rhodes - Associate Vice President, Facilities

Please join me in welcoming Quent Rhodes back to MCC as Associate Vice President of Facilities.  His appointment was approved by the Board of Trustees yesterday and Quent will be starting in his new role on March 7, where he will oversee all facilities-related functions and services.  Quent will assist the Administrative Services division in responding to emerging issues, trends, and community needs, providing internal leadership that supports MCC's regional and national reputation as a leader among best practices colleges.

Quent is returning to MCC after working for the University of Rochester as Director of River Campus for Planning and Project Management starting September of 2019.  He previously served MCC beginning in June of 2017 as Director of Facilities in the Capital Projects and Support Operations department responsible for all capital construction projects, facilities master planning, and energy management.  In his second year at MCC, Quent was one of five participants selected for the 2019 cohort for the President’s Emerging Leaders Fellowship. He previously served as a Senior Project Manager in the Facilities Management Services Department at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).  While at RIT, he received the Student Government President’s Award for his continuous advocacy for the needs of students.  Prior to his work in the Higher Education sector, he worked as a Code Consultant for T.Y. Lin International, and he gained early project management experience working at R.W. Dake & Co., Inc., and also Christa Construction.

Quent received a BS in Civil Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology.  We look forward to Quent re-joining MCC overseeing all of Facilities and serving the College community in this important role.

Please join me in welcoming Quent back to MCC!
