Zhen Yi Lin's Illustration Selected for MCC's 2021 Holiday Card

Please join me in congratulating MCC Commercial Art & Illustration student Zhen Yi Lin for her winning illustration that adorns MCC’s 2021 holiday card. The illustration is attached to this article.

Inspired by Professor Jim Downer (School of Arts & Humanities/Visual and Performing Arts), Zhen Yi and her classmates developed visual solutions that reflected “Inspiring the Way Forward with Focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.”

President’s Cabinet members and I selected Zhen Yi’s creation as the top visual solution for this year’s holiday card. Congratulations also to Roen Cloutier and Zazie M. Weldgen who earned 2nd and 3rd place honors, respectively and all of the Commercial Art and illustration program students who participated.

Each time MCC inspires students to see themselves as scholars, leaders, peacemakers, and artists, we receive a gift that transcends expectations. We have much to celebrate this season and even more to look forward to in 2022.

We hope to see you at the “Holiday Stroll” on Friday, December 17 at the following locations:

  • Applied Technologies Center: Main Hallway, noon to 12:30 p.m.
  • Brighton Campus: North Dining, 2nd Floor, Flynn Campus Center, noon to 2 p.m.
  • Downtown Campus: High Falls A/B, 3rd floor, noon to 2 p.m.
  • Public Safety Training Facility: Room 100E, 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
